Shane has worked tirelessly to address this problem by creating the most tactical application of servant leadership and workplace emotional intelligence available. A 23 year veteran of the recruitment and human capital industry, Shane turned his focus toward emotional and organizational effectiveness in 2014, pivoting the first company he launched, Surch Recruitment Group Inc., into CultureSmith Inc., a more holistic approach to culture building and engagement. Shane holds a Bachelors Degree in Humanities from the University of Calgary and is in the final stages of his Masters in Leadership Psychology through Penn State University. When not helping to explain ‘why people do the things they do at work’ Shane is doing his best to figure out ‘why people do the things they do at home’ as a husband to his wife Kristen and co-parent of their five kids: Coben, Callie, Ashlyn, Averie and Shiloh.
